The new V90 CC has nearly identical total cubic feet of cargo space as an old Pontiac Vibe, both with rear seats up and down.
The V90's space is wider, lower, but deeper compared to the Vibe.

You could have a Vibe/Matrix 5M and 2 parts cars AND a nice European tour for that Volvo.

My favorite thing about the Vibe is it was sold in Japan (as the Toyota Voltz), while the Matrix was not, making the Pontiac Vibe JDM tyte.

Yeah, the V90 is pretty dinky inside and visibility is meh. I was pretty disappointed.
The Vibe probably has more useful cube, too. The numbers are only part of the equation, actual load capacity might be totally different. For example, taking a full-sized chair home from the furniture store.
Pontiac, I choose you.

But does the Swede have fold flat front seat? No it does not, it is not better.

Obviously the Swedes benchmarked the greatest hatch/wagon ever made!

Plus, the Vibe has more JDM street cred yo (Toyota Voltz) plus Toyota reliability and the 2ZZ :o)
And the V90 is a lot bigger than the Vibe on the outside

Note that on hatchbacks and wagons, the measurement methods aren’t consistent for US-market vehicles. There’s standardized measurement methods for sedans, but hatchback numbers end up being all over the place.
VDA numbers are actually consistent, but because the Matrix/Vibe/Voltz wasn’t sold in Europe, you won’t get those.

Interesting. I am looking at a Mazda3 hatchback this weekend. Maybe I should check out a Matrix (preferably XRS) too!

Yeah, don’t care. The want for the Volvo is still strong, tempered only by the new Jaaaaaag XF.

Or a Volvo and a nice European tour! ;)
